ZOG is on the move...
Nobody loves complaining about our "Zionist Occuped Governemnt" more than I do.
The thing I do that upsets people the most is my aggressive use of memes like ZOG, which stands for “Zionist Occupied Government.”
ZOG is a short-hand way to refer to the degree to which Zionism - the ideology of people who strongly support Israel for moral reasons - is a dominant ideology within the US government.
No serious person disputes this fact, considering just a few of the following pieces of evidence:
Republican Congressmen says his support of Israel is because the Jews are the chosen people
Mitt Romney admitting they banned Tik-Tok because of support for Palestine
UN Ambassador says Israel has a biblical right to the entire West Bank
Representative Thomas Massie explains how every congress person has an AIPAC babysitter
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also says Israel has a right to the land because the Bible says so
Bernie Sanders explains AIPAC’s influence in ousting progressive Democrats
If you want a sober explanation of the degree to which Israel has influence in the United States, Professor John Mearsheimer (who has informed my thinking the most on this subject) explains the Israel Lobby in this clip with Lex Fridman.
What people do dispute, is whether or not Zionism should be a dominant ideology within US politics, and this is an entirely reasonable conversation to have.
I take the position that Zionism should not be a dominant ideology, because it leads to situations where we conflate Israel’s interests with the interests of the United States, and causes us to do things that we would never do but for the strong moral support for Israel from US politicians.
The most obvious example of this is Trump’s recent announcement that the US will “take over the Gaza strip.” In response, Israel’s Minister of Defense explains the plan to ethnically cleanse the Palestinians from Gaza, who will be resettled to “any country willing to receive them.”
There is absolutely no justification for this from the perspective of the average US citizen, nor is there any moral justification for this.
So, until the average person is clearly aware of the degree to which ZOG is making decisions about US foreign policy, I will continue to spread the meme. I am working on a longer video that lays out all the evidence that I use to form my opinions on this subject.
Until then, the easily offended are free to whine about it in the comments. Just remember to spare a tear for the dead Palestinian children while you’re at it.
The problem is the word occupied.
Occupied means under control of a hostile army / entity.
Many of the people you are talking about are democratically elected officials.
All people in positions of power can be swayed by financial incentives. If you take issue with that then deal with all ways this type of influence is wielded.
Many different groups and nations influence American politicians and politics, the disproportionate emphasis and derogatory language used to speak about Jews and zionists is why ZOG is a shitty hill to die on.
While you may be willing to take this risk, you are taking a risk on behalf of the Jewish people while also using so much irony that it is hard for the average viewer to discern your intentions.
If you’re sincerely concerned about the ways that outside groups influence American politics it would be nice to see you explore how other countries and groups play a role.
While you may not think it is one United States interest to align with Israel, I think there is a case that can be made that the US benefits from this relationship too and is not “occupied” but rather it is a choice that you do not agree with. But the words matters and I’d argue that there is no occupation.
I stopped reading when one of your links was a clip of a Tucker Carlson interview. Show me a source that isn't a literal disinformation machine. Thanks.
